In the report released on Thursday, August 4th, the dean of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) announced the postponement of the beginning of the second semester to August 16 (Tuesday).
The classes would start on Monday (August 8th), but they had to be postponed due to the Internet breakdown at the University since the early hours of last Tuesday (Aug 2th) and the refusal of the administrative staff to ensure the quick return of the internet, because of the strike.
